ight so sorta update to my last thing,  sorta an explanation that i ain’t gonna be around a little while longer.

so after my last post abt windrush and shit,  my papi has been in a rough time and we’re all focused on getting that paperwork sorted and that shit.  now all the government folk be saying that they gonna let them all stay and not be discriminated against,  but they lost the papers so i ain’t trusting that.  so we’re in a situation of trying to find out what papers exist, how we make sure he has everything filled in and how we fight him losing access to the NHS in this midst of this.  i ain’t gonna be around while i get some of this shit sorted ‘cause i’m the one dealing with the legal stuff on they behalf. 

luckily,  my family all have good jobs and good money and we in a situation where we can pay the legal fees,  so we lucky.

she would run through rivers, feet bared, lips ever a grin as she trailed in the footsteps of her brother as they moved onwards into a coming future. her father called her the starlight, while her mother made her promise she would serve her home. and she wore all their hopes on her shoulders and learnt to stand under their weight.

she met a boy who was a prince and kissed his eyelashes closed, but the crown wouldn't be enough if she was not worthy of wearing it. instead, she found her own way to save a world, by letting herself join it. war dog, they called her, and she wore the mantle with soft delight and war between her teeth. gritted and ready, she struggled with shielding themselves when they could help.

and when he came home, and brought her too, she knew she had a chance. she could change the world if only she could whisper loud enough to break through the forces. and she fought, and she fought, and she fought for her home, in the hope it would fight for her too.

    CANON. i'm wishing hard for these far away visions.

    he comes for her and speaks that his life has changed, and though she knew it was coming, she mourns what she had. a king is made, and another challenges, their world on the edge of what they are and what they could be. she is still a girl with rivers in her blood, but now she must keep looking outward and knowing what they can be. her heart beats a steady drum, leads her in the right direction, and she is determined -- now more than ever.

    feet splash through rivers, laughter peeling from lips as she runs free and chases her brother. they name her nakia when she opens her eyes and whisper that bast has smiled on her when she sleeps. she grows up good and slow, stretched out in the long days of summer and blessed to know her future is bright. she is their pride, smart and driven, beautiful and strong.

    the future comes and it comes for them hard, now relationships are opened and she a driving force within them. she has always known her path, and wondered if her home would follow, and now she must make it so. she seeks to show what they can offer, to bridge gaps and show where they will stand in this new world. her hope is on the horizon, and she knows she needs this to work.

    the king is dead, and hope has failed them. the wishes of the queen mother ring in her mind and she knows what she must do. liquid in her mouth and then it is she who must fight, who must use the bast given strength that is offered and become more than herself. the night is long and full of terrors, and she emerges stronger than she had thought possible, and she knows now what it means to have a nation on her shoulders.
